Sonya is a leader in Business Transformation through effective change management in business operations to processes, people, and systems (technology) across the WA state government sector. Sonya’s highly collaborative approach to change management and her exceptional stakeholder engagement skills has ensured projects have been delivered on time and within budget.

Throughout Sonya’s career she has held leadership, executive and senior management roles. Sonya has been working as a Senior Business Consultant since 1997. With 30+ years’ extensive experience across various small, medium and large WA government agencies (ranging from 30 to 2000+ staff), Sonya has gained specialist skills in management transformation, cultural transformation, information systems transformation, and transformation of business processes.

Sonya led the successful 2016 transformation and transition of the Road Safety Commission’s corporate support systems, services and processes, through the establishment of an effective project governance structure and accountability arrangement. Sonya has provided business analyst advice, direction, and end to end project management on the transition of Financial Information Management Systems and Payroll Systems, for various WA government agencies.
Sonya has extensive experience and specialist expertise in the development of online policy and procedure documents for a range of corporate management disciplines (including corporate management, finance, procurement, human resources, and ICT etc).

Sonya has recently developed a business transformation strategy and implementation plan for developing and implementing a Workforce and Diversity Plan and has restructured, simplified, and harmonised Human Resource policies for merged WA government agencies, as part of the MOG reform environment.
